Welcome to our Atlanta video production projects page! 7th Wave Pictures produces short and long-form documentaries, narrative shorts, and more. We have included the trailer for our first feature documentary called “Back to Brisbane,” and other videos below.

"Back to Brisbane" - Feature Documentary
"Back to Brisbane" tells the story of Australian aboriginal artist Dr. Pamela Croft who was a child of the stolen generation. The Stolen Generation (or Stolen Generations) is a term used to describe the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, usually of mixed descent, who were removed from their families by Australian government agencies and church missions, under various state acts of parliament, denying the rights of parents and making all Aboriginal children wards of the state, between approximately 1900 and 1972.

Pamela’s mother was forced to give Pamela up for adoption when she was only 6 years of age.  The impact on Pamela both as a child and now as an adult is overwhelming. “Back to Brisbane” is a story of reconciliation, cultural identity, and family reconnection.

This short documentary is a behind the scenes account of a production teams' first 48 Hour Film Project. The project requires a team to cast, write, shoot, and edit a short film in only 48 hours. Matt Ruggles and Mike Pearce followed team Boondogglers for one weekend. The short doc and the Boondogglers' short went on to play several festivals across the country. Watch Video
